As I discussed in my last post, we don’t have a real “autumn” here in South Florida. Basically, there are two seasons: hot or not so hot. Also known as tourists or not so many tourists, jump on the bandwagon athletic season vs. cry in your beer athletic season, and my personal favorite distinction – beach months and art months. Since the coming interval = prime beach time for the thick blooded non-residents, most regular people will spend October through December away from the sand and “super cold” water and hang out indoors, looking at art and drinking free wine.
Art Fallout in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale is a great place to do just that, and the event is being covered by a ton of online and in print media, such as this cohesive post over at Salty Eggs. Thusly, I don’t feel the need to talk more about Art Fallout. However, there are a few less publicized events going on as well, and that’s where I’m showing some work this weekend.
