More and More Paper Cranes!

Yet another charity donating to Japan for each paper crane we make. You can join in the fun yourself by making your own paper crane and uploading a picture to this Facebook page. My class count at the end of 5th period yesterday was 123 cranes. Our goal by the end of next week is 500 cranes! That would mean if we gave 250 cranes to each charity, 500 dollars and 250 items of clothing donated. Wish us luck!

  1. I love this project!

    • My kids love it too! Once they got the hang of the folding, they’ve been on it nonstop. We didn’t even work on them today and our total went from 123 to 193, just from what the kids did at the end of the day yesterday and at home.

  2. What will you do with the cranes when this is all done?

    • When the cranes are finished, we send them to the Students Rebuild organization. They will take 100,000 of them and weave them into an installation that will be sent to Japan along with the big check from the Bezos Family Foundation. 🙂
