Tattooing during Bike Week is a long-held tradition and source of controversy throughout the tattooed and non-tattooed community alike. We body art professionals in Florida hear about old Daytona Bike Week as an example of crackdowns on some substandard tattooing practices, and my family members who have seen a few times more Bike Weeks than I’ve seen years of legal drinking can attest to the paring down of tattooing as a main attraction as Bike Week has tried to clean up its image and become a more “family friendly” event. However, TATTOOS themselves are still on prominent display. The tattooing we did see from Tropical Tattoo looked extremely clean and efficient, and we were really impressed with their nifty setup and very wise signage!
